My hometown is Yatsushiro in Kumamoto. I live in Yatsushiro now. I commute from My house to KJU by train every day. Yatsushiro is very nice place. Yatsushiro has many good places and good products.

Now Yatsushiro's poplation is about 13,0000. Yatsushiro's area is 680,19 square kilometers. The city merged with municipalities of Izumi, Kagami, Sakamoto, Sencho and Toyo to from the new expanded city of Yatsushiro.

Yatsushiro has many good places. Gokanosho in Izumi has very nice landscape. There colored leaves are very beautiful in autumn. Many people visits there. Also, Hinagu hot spring is very nice place. If I soak in the hot spring, I can relax and feel very good.

Yatsushiro's famous products are rush, banpeiyu, kodayaki and so on. Yatsushiro's rush production is the highest in Japan. Banpeiyu is a kind of shaddock. It is very delicious. Kodayaki is a pottery which has more than 400 years history. It is very nice pottery.

The fireforks display in Yatushiro

It was the fireforks display in Yatsushiro on October 20th. I didn't go it. Because, I had a part time job and a promise with my friends. I worked until 5 p. m. Then, I went window-shopping until 6:30 p. m. and I went back my home by car. On the way to my home, I could went back over seeing the fireforks. It was very beautiful fireforks.

Last week, I went to Nanpu in Yatsushiro with friends. Nanpu is famous for doroyaki. Do you know the doroyaki? It is a sort of the okonomiyaki. But It is different a little. How to eat is different. The way to eat doroyaki is to dip it into soup and eat. It is very delicious.

I enjoyed this summer vacation!! I went to Okinawa. I have never went to there. There is very good place. I went to churaumi aquarium, pineapple park, international street and so. Churaumi aquarium have many kind fish. I could see rare fish, I was very interesting. Also, I ate sokisoba, chanpuru, jyusi, umibudou, pineapple, and do on. They were very very delicious. I'm a sophomore of eibei studies in Kumamoto gakuen unversity. I'm studying English. I commute by train everyday. I'm not in a club. If I have free time, I do part time job.
I'm studying English mainly. I like English very much, but I'm poor at it. But, I want to be able to use English. So I must study hard.
My hometown is Yatsushiro. I commute from my house to the university by train and on foot everyday. It takes about one hour and little minutes. So I have to get up early every mourning. It is hard for me to do it. I often oversleep and late for school.
I’m not in a circle. Because I don’t have money and can’t drink. But I wanted to in a circle a little.
If I have free time, I work at toys shop to earn money. I work almost three days in a week. It is hard for me, but I like my part time job.

There are many famous things in Kumamoto. Famous foods of Kumamoto are basashi, karashirenkon, watermelon, taipien, and so on. Famous Places of Kumamoto are kumamoto castle, mt. Aso, and so on. Mt. Aso is very nice place. There is caldera in mt. Aso. Famous peoples of Kumamoto are Aki Yashiro, Teruyoshi Uchimura, kuriimushichu and so on.
The Kumamoto Castle was built by Kiyomasa Katou in the muromachi period. The castle is one of three in japan great castles.Now the castle has been built for 400 years. Mt. Aso. has the caldera of the world's largest class.It is familiar with it as symbol existense of "country of the fire"Kumamoto.There is a very nice place!I recommend you to go there.
Basashi is sashimi of horse meat.It contains a lot of iron contents and it is low colorie. Karashirenkon is a typical hometown dish of Kumamoto.It is familiar with it since Edo period.
Watermelon. Kumamoto takes pride in the production of the watermelon of the top of Japan.It is very delicious.
Kumamoto is called "capital of water" from the past. Even now, There is a blessed environment that all of water to use waterworks are managed by groundwater. Water in Kumamoto is clear and it is very good.
